Sea Swallow

70k words, Upmarket, domestic suspense

Every year, desperate young people leap off the coastline of Singers Beach, Maine. Terrified her son might be next, anxious mother Annette Saunders accepts the local priest’s invitation to “Sea Swallow,” a legendary crevasse where teens drop written secrets, assuming they wash out to sea. But the knowledge she gains there has a price. When another teen ends up dead, Annette must confront a haunting confession from her own son, or risk losing him forever.

Beach to Beacon

Approx. 80K, Upmarket with elements of mystery/suspense

An orphan raised by nuns in the Dominican Republic is recruited to run NCAA track and field, but her plans are derailed when she meets a wealthy American law student and gets pregnant after her freshman year. After strangers take her in to raise her daughter in safety, she begins to suspect that the only people she trusts might be part of a larger, far more dangerous scheme of athlete smuggling, doping, and death.

BEACH TO BEACON is story of unrealized dreams, maternal love and sociocultural conflict in a small New England town.
